Antique print, untitled. A woman being introduced to an unfit lover. From an edition of J. H. Krul's "Pampiere Wereld", probably the 1644 edition. Etching & engraving on Laid paper. Made by 'Salomon Savery' after own design. Salomon Savery (1594-ca. 1665) was a Dutch artist, nephew of Roelant Savery. He was one of the most prolific printmakers associated with book illustration in 17th century Netherlands. Good, given age. Small margins.
