Antique print, titled: 'L'armee Francaise passe la frontiere.' - The French army crossing the French-Belgian border in 1832. Source unknown, to be determined. Ref: Giacomelli 515. Lithograph on wove (vellin) paper. Made by 'Auguste Raffet' after own design. Auguste Raffet (French; 1804-1860) was a pupil of Charlet. Raffet was influenced by him in working with lithography. Many of his prints concern Napoleon. Good, given age. Large margins, somewhat browned, small tears in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
