Antique print, titled: 'L. Seguier.' - Portrait of L. Seguier. Stipple engraving on wove paper. Description: From "Portraits des orateurs du barreau Francais", published in Paris by C. L. F. Panckoucke in Paris in 1823.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Made under the direction of Ambroise Tardieu' after an anonymous artist. Ambroise Tardieu (1788-1841) was a member of the Tardieu family, who consisted of at least 10 engravers. He produced many sets of prints and worked as an engraver of maps for the navy. Condition: Good, given age. Large margins. A small tear in the lower margin. Left margin uneven and with tiny holes (from binding). A dampstain in the lower right corner. Top margin a little foxed and browned. A crease in the right margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
