Antique print, titled: 'Vue des environs d'Orleans sur les Loires.' - View of the vicinity of Orleans. Women are doing laundry on the banks of the Loire river, near a small structure. Etching on hand laid paper. Watermark: T. Dupuy (=Auvergne paper 18th. Century). Description: Source unknown, to be determined.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Aignan-Thomas Desfriches' after own design. Aignan-Thomas Desfriches (1715-1800) was a French painter, draughtsman and engraver who originated from Orleans. He specialised in views of this city and its surroundings. Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins, A small stain in the left margin. Margins overall a little soiled. Sharp creases in the top right margin. A faint crease form the top margin to the right margin (crossing the image). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
