Baleinoptere museau pointu, pl. 7", showing a Great Northern Rorqual (or Great Blue Whale) and a Common Minke Whale. This original print originates from: 'Oeuvres du Comte de Lacepede, comprenant l'Histoire Naturelle des Quadrupedes Ovipares, des Serpents, des Poissons et des Cetaces.' (Bruxelles: Lejeune, 1832-33). *Nissen ZBI, 2344. Artists and Engravers: Unsigned plate, by Th. Lejeune after the design of Lacepede. Bernard Germain Comte de Lacepede (1756-1825) was a French naturalist, successor to Buffon.Condition: Very good given age, general age-related toning to the sheet edges, some small spots. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
