This plate shows a portrait of Rudolf (1858 - 1889), who was Archduke of Austria and Crown Prince of Austria-Hungary, the heir apparent to the Austro-Hungarian Empire from birth. On the right Stephanie (1864 - 1945), a Belgian princess by birth and became Crown Princess of Austria through her marriage to the heir-apparent of the Habsburg dynasty, Archduke Rudolf. French text on verso. Engraving on a vellin type paper.
