From "l'Eloge de la Folie" by Erasmus of Rotterdam, in an edition of this work published by Francois L'honore in Amsterdam in 1728, with a translation by Gueudeville.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Hans Holbein the Younger'. Hans Holbein the Younger (ca. 1497-1543) was a reknown German artist. Hed was active as court artist at the English court. He made many portraits, but also designed jewelry and book illustrations. Author: Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus (1466-1536), known as Erasmus or Erasmus of Rotterdam, who was a Dutch Renaissance humanist, Catholic priest, social critic, teacher, and theologian.Condition: Good, given age. Margins a little cropped. Some scattered small stains. Occasional small damages to the margin edge (from binding, mostly). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
