Common Wood Pigeon - 6/7. Madagascar Pigeon - 8. Turtle dove from the Cape - 9. Nicobar Pigeon. This print originates from a very rare unknown Dutch work. The plates are similar to the plates in the famous German work: 'Bilderbuch fur Kinder.' (Transl.: picture book for children.), by F.J. Bertuch, published 1790-1830 in Weimar. This could be Dutch edition of this work (no references found), or a work that used the Bertuch plates. General age related toning. Please study image carefully. Overall size: 20.2 x 25.5 cm.
