Antique print, titled: 'Tractus Rheni et Mosae . ' - Two maps on one sheet. Above the Rhine, Waal and Maas Rivers near their entrance to the sea. Bottom shows the Rhine River before it splits into the Rhine and Waal Rivers. Forests are drawn as groups of individual trees. Fortified cities are shown with walls around them. Map title and mileage scales are surrounded by decorative designs. Original hand coloured engraving on hand laid paper. Description: From; Theatrum Orbis Terrarum sive Atlas Novus / Volume II, published by Willem and Joan Blaeu from 1635-1655. We do not know the exact date of this map.Artists and Engravers: Anonymous. Condition: Excellent, given age. Well inked and attractively old hand colouring. Original middle fold. Light creasing. Paper edges a bit chipped from handling. Latin text on rear.
