Title: 'S. Aubertus.' This original print shows: a Saint's portrait showing Saint Aubertus (or Autbertus) was a monk in the Abbey of Luxeuil, and later bishop of Atrecht and Kamerik. As he is said to have personally baked bread for his hungry people, he is the patron saint of bakers in the Bruges area in Belgium. He is here depicted with a donkey at his feet and two baskets of fresh-baked bread. Copperplate engraving on a verge type handlaid paper. Description: Source unknown. To be determined.
