Considered the finest natural history works on Indonesia, the former Dutch East Indies. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Wilhelmus van Groenewoud' after 'G. van Raalten'. Wilhelmus van Groenewoud (Dutch; 1803-1842) worked in Leiden as lithographer. Nothing concerning this artist could be found. Crayon style lithograph with hand colouring on thin china paper (chine collee) attached to wove paper. Anonymous. Very good, given age. Ample margins. Some staining, mostly in margins.
