Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 4.9 x 8.7 inch. The image size is ca. 4.1 x 6.5 inch.Plate : 'This plate shows a piece of wood from a VOC ship perforated by sea worms. This old antique engraved copperplate print originates from 'Katechismus der Natuur' published in 1779 in amsterdam by J. Allart. This popular work was used in schools in The Netherlands until the 20th century. This plate by J. van Hasselt.Artists and Engravers: Johannes Florentius Martinet (1729 - 1795), Dutch historian, writer, theologian.Condition: Excellent. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
