This plate shows a view of 'Schloss Moyland / Moyland Castle' near the city of Kleve, Germany. Original sepia copperplate engraving / etching on a verge type hand laid paper. Description: This original antique print originates from an unknown edition of: 'De Stad Kleef, haar Gezondheidsbron, en omliggende landsdouwen, in kunstprenten verbeeld.', by Pieter Langendyk, published in Haarlem by Jan Bosch, 1745-1760.Artists and Engravers: Engraved by H. Spilman after J. de Beijer. Jan de Beijer (1703 - 1780), also given as Jan de Beyer, was a Dutch draughtsman and painter known for this drawings of towns and buildings in the present-day countries of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In total, he produced some 1500 drawings, over 600 of which were reproduced as engravings by other artists. Hendrik Spilman (Dutch 1721-1784): engraver and designer of mostly town and city views.
