Etching by Otto August Kuhler German/American 1894-1977), of the Arch of Septimius Severus in the Roman Forum. * The "Arch of Septimius Severus" in the Roman Forum in Rome, Italy was built to celebrate the victories of the Emperor Septimius Severus and his sons Geta and Caracalla in the Orient. It was constructed in 203 A.D. * Signed in pencil at bottom right. * Circa 1930's - stamped on back of frame: "United States Picture Frame Co. 146 East 42nd Street, New York City. Ashland 4-5293 C.L. Neuman". #1094 in pencil above stamp. 11/14/34 in pencil below stamp. * Matted to 6 1/4" x 8 3/4" - not laid down. * Plate mark 5 3/8" x 7 5/8" * Framed 12" x 16". * Excellent condition.
