Copperplate engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Sheet size: 36,8 x 27 cm. Image size: 33,8 x 24,3 cm. Originally published c. 1660. Possibly a later ed.Made by Johannes / Jan Visscher (Dutch 1636-c.1692) after Nicolaes Berghem. Nicolaes Pieterszoon Berchem / Berghem (1620-1683) was a highly esteemed and prolific Dutch Golden Age painter of pastoral landscapes, populated with mythological or biblical figures, but also of a number of allegories and genre pieces.Condition: Good, given age. Small spot upper left. Vertical fold in middle. Remains of manuscript writing at bottom right. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL.
