United Kingdom Geography: Sligo, Northern Republic of Ireland. The county seat is Sligo . The irregular coast line is deeply indented by Killala Bay and Sligo Bay. The interior is mountainous, with the Slieve Gamph, or Ox Mountains, in the west and the Dartry range, rising to about 2,000 feet (610 meters) in the northeast. - Donegal county, N Republic of Ireland, on the Atlantic Ocean. The county seat is Lifford. The extremely irregular coastline extends from Lough Foyle on the north to Donegal Bay on the west and is deeply indented by Lough Swilly. Tory Island is the largest of the coastal islands. The west is rugged and hilly. There are two mountain ranges: the Derryveagh Mountains in the northwest and the Blue Stack Mountains in the west central region. Mt. Errigal (2,466 feett/752 meters) is the tallest peak. The chief rivers are the Foyle, the Erne, and the Finn; lakes are plentiful. - Some of the counties shown on the maps are Carbury, Tirerrill, Corran, Coolavin, Tireragh, Inishowen, Raphoe, Tirhugh, Kilmacrenan, Banagh.
