Np, 1882. Original thanksgiving broadside proclamation issued by Massachusetts governor John D. Long [1838-1915], and signed (in print) by Henry B. Peirce Sep 28, 1882. Broadside measure approximately 24" x 20". Vertical and horizontal fold marks; heavy wrinkling to lower right quadrant; faint dampstains to lower right margin and corner; small spot of discoloration to upper right hand margin, else a VG example of a late 19th century Thanksgiving broadside.
