One of 400 copies printed on paper specially manufactured for this edition with the number 55 in top right corner as issued. In good condition. Not mounted / matted. Image size 130 x 200mm (5 x 8 inches) Sheet size 310 x 250mm (12 x 9.75 inches) Reference: Physick 219, Ditchling 189, 55. Designed as a certificate. Printed from five blocks, 1923. The block was subsequently used for illustration on page 35 of Wood Engravings publication 44, 1924; on Plate 55 in Engravings by Eric Gill , published by Douglas Cleverdon, printed by The Fanfare Press, 1929. The first version of this certificate contained a small representation of the Holy Ghost as a dove but this was subsequently replaced by a red star. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 60001699
