Grisaille. 47.5 x 37cms. Signed & dated 1900, and in the margin 'Retriever'. Creases to the lower left hand corner; Very much in the style & format of his Alphabet of Animals, published the same year by Blackie, so it is probably an alternative unused design. Park (I have also seen his name spelt Moore-Park & Moorepark) was a Glasgow artist who illustrated several books around the turn of the century. His illustrations always have a quirky outlook.
