Antique print, titled: 'Gelykheid, vryheid, broederschap, proclamatie.' - ('Equality, freedom, brotherhood, proclamation'). Proclamation, with woodcut coat of arms of the Bataafse Republiek (Batavian Republic), dealing specifically with corrupt or treacherous government officials after the coup d'etat of January 23rd, 1798. The coat of arms consists of the Dutch maiden and Leo Belgicus (holding the flag) standing side by side. Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. Description: Source unknown, to be determined.
