Hardback, approx 9.5 x 6 inches. Dark maroon morocco leather binding, with blind paneled boards, raised and embossed banding to spine, with gilt lettering and decorations. Full gilt page edges, and decorative edge dentelles to inner board edges. Pale yellow endpapers. In very good condition. Some rubbing to cover on ends of spine and raised spine banding, leading corners bumped and rubbed, some darkening and minor handling marks to boards. Volume 3 only, no main title page inside at front. Plates with some minor darkening and handling marks, all with tissue guards, guards are darkened with some moderate foxing. Some occasional minor foxing spots and handling marks to pages else pages overall very clean and tight. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 288pp. Illustrated with 12 full-page colour plates, and many B&W figures and diagrams within text. Plates include: Sarah Frost Camelia, Magnolia Lenne, Chrysanthemums Price Alfred & Princess of Wales, Lychnis Senno, Bomaria Multiflora, Diadem Pelargonium, &c. to Clematis Rubro-Violacea.
