Ref: Teuscher 642.Made by Christian Rugendas after Georg Philipp Rugendas. Christian Rugendas (1708-1781) was a German painter and engraver. Georg Philipp Rugendas (Augsburg 1666-1742) was a German military and battle painter and engraver. He was a pupil of Issak Fisches. Rugendas exposed himself to great danger during the siege of Augsburg in 1703 to draw amidst the engagements.Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).
