Hardback, 8 x 5 inches. In full calf leather with gilt panelled boards, raised banding and gilt decorations to spine. Red speckled page edges. Plain endpapers. In generally good condition. Cover worn; spine heavily rubbed, corners bumped and nicked, board edges rubbed, a few few small old worming holes in spine. Partial crack to rear hinge. Endpapers clean, no previous owners or penned inscriptions. Front endpaper loose, lacks frontis plate (plate 1.) Minor darkening to edges of title page. Some minor handling marks around edges of plates, else plates overall clean and bright throughout.
