Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers

RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), Washington DC, 1998-99. A colorful, framed, poster-style award commemorating sales of over half a million copies, to author Herman Wouk. Musician Jimmy Buffett approached Wouk about using his 1965 novel 'Don't Stop the Carnival' as the basis for a musical play. The two men hit it off, became friends and worked on the staging together. The recording of Buffett's music from the play reached #15 in the Billboard Top 100 Album charts in 1998. It was released on Island Records & Margaritaville Records. This is a one-of-a-kind item, from the collection of author Herman Wouk. It measures 14 x 17.25 inches (approx 35.5 x 43.8 cm.). As originally presented in matching painted yellow frame, under plexiglass and ready to hang on the wall. See all photos.
