Watercolour by Anthony Gross with his two children Mary and Jean Pierre in St. Margaret s Bay, which is in Kent. Signed and dated 1946 by the artist. Painted on wove paper, the paper has slightly ruckled and discoloured with age. On the verso there are remnants of glue residue along the margins, else very good. Sheet size 39 x 56cm (15.5 x 22 inches) Anthony Gross had married Villeneuve fashion artist Marcelle Marguerite Florenty in 1930; their children were Mary (b. 1935) and Jean-Pierre (b. 1937). In 1940 he brought his family from France to England, to live at Flamstead, Hertfordshire. After the war he lived in Blackheath and Greenwich. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 6000978
