Short introductory texts with scattering of small-scale studies in line, followed by indexed section of 145 plates of which a number in colour, and colophon & illustration on recto of final leaf. Hardback / hard cover: sand-yellow cloth, backstrip title and front cover facsimile signature in gilt. Rear cover with pale tan stain along 1.5cm of lower edge to height up to 0.5cm. Lower outer corner of front cover and upper inner corner of rear slightly bumped. Top edge of text-block lightly toned and a little streakily foxed, other edges faintly toned. Contents clean and tight. VERY GOOD copy in GOOD unclipped dust jacket nicked at head and foot of backstrip panel, with a little loss at lower corner shared by backstrip- and rear panels, with near-closed tear of length 2cm and associated short creases at lower edge of rear panel, and with upper edges of both front and rear panels a little rubbed, nicked and lightly creased.
