Jan van de Velde (1593-1641) came from the southern Netherlands as a fugitive around 1600 to the Netherlands. His father was a writingmaster and Jan trainend as an etcher. He produced many highly important series of landscape prints. Hendrick Gerritsz. Pot (ca. 1580-1657) was a pupil of Karel van Mander. He worked in Haarlem and later Amsterdam. Etching on hand laid paper. Watermark: Coat of arms with a French Lily Anonymous. Good, given age. No margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
