A Frostline and aquatint etching with plate and hand colouring on wove (vellin) paper.Sheet size: 24 x 30,8 cm. (9,4 x 12,1 inch). Image size: 22,5 x 80 cm. (8,9 x 31,5 inch).Source unknown, to be determined. Ref: Published by George Hunt in 1827 Provenance: Part of the collection "a Select Collection of Caricatures/Collected & Arranged by Thomas Mc. Lean", vol IMade by 'George Hunt & Theodore Lane' after 'Theodore Lane'. Charles and George Hunt, two of the most skilled and prolific engravers of their day, flourished during the boom period of the English Sporting Print (1820-1870).Condition: Good, given age. Attached to carrier sheet with surrounding linework. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
