Order of Saint Stephen - Ceremonial robe of the Grand Cross of the Order of Leopold - Order of Leopold). The Order of Saint Stephen of Hungary, the royal Hungarian order was founded in 1764 by the empress Maria Theresa of Austria. The Imperial Austrian Order of Leopold was founded by Franz I of Austria on 8 January 1808. Original hand coloured engraving. No plate marks visible. Magnenat after J. Bischoff. Condition: Good given age. Paper edges chipped and browned with small tears from handling. Age related toning. Damp stain bottom right just outside image.
