Copy in reverse after plate 27 from a series: Sylvae sacrae monumenta anachoretarum published c. 1590 (Hollstein 994-1023).Giovanni Merlo was an Italian 17th. c. engraver and publisher from Venice, particularly known from his monumental panoramic view of Venice made in 1656.Condition: Very good, given age. Remains of previous attachment at top. Small tear at top, not effecting image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL.
