Medium: Oil A stunning oil on canvas board painting by Danish American artist Helio Wernegreen (1907 - 1979) measuring 16 x 20 inches in a frame measuring approximately 20 x 24 inches. Very good condition painting with loss lower right to gesso as pictured. Thanks for looking. Helio Wernegreen (1907-1979) was born in 1907 in Denmark and immigrated to the US in 1956. He owned and operated a fine art gallery in Chicago which burned down in the 1960s. Being a Denmark native, he forged a lot of relationships with contemporary European artists and imported their work to his gallery in Chicago. Region of Origin: US Size: Medium (up to 36in.).
