Original etching by Frank W. Benson (1862-1951) from the original 1928 edition limited to 150 impressions (Paff 279). Plate size: 7 7/8 x 11 3/4 inches. Signed by Benson in pencil in the lower left margin. Frank Benson was one of the most important American artists in the first half of the 20th century. He is considered to be not only one of the most accomplished impressionist painters, but also the etcher who was most influential in the growth of the wildlife print genre. Archivally matted and framed. An excellent impression. Paper faintly and uniformly toned. Note: the distortion in my photographs is an artifact of glare from the glass. Size: 7 7/8 x 11 3/4 Inches.
