8vo (20.5 x 14.5 cms). [4], v-xvi, 715, plates. Green ribbed cloth; gilt lettering and decoration to upper board and spine; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Green endpapers, the front and back pastedowns showing Dickens aged, respectively, 27 and 58. Coloured frontispiece with tissue guard captioned in red; 38 other plates in black and white, all with tissue guards captioned in red, plus what is described as a ?vignette title? facing the frontispiece (seemingly the facsimile of an undated title page from an earlier Chapman and Hall edition). Title page printed in red and black. Author?s preface. Volume VI of The Authentic Edition, ?printed from the edition that was carefully corrected by the author in 1867 and 1868?. Not dated. 1901 is generally given as the date of publication of the Authentic Edition, although it appears that its 21 volumes were published over a period of several years (1901-6 according to the Cambridge Bibliography of English Literature). CONDITION. Good. Covers bright and showing only very moderate signs of wear. Much foxing to the fore edges and to the first and last few leaves, with sporadic foxing elsewhere. Otherwise very good; all plates and tissue guards present. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 000315

Anbieterinformationen
I normally use Royal Mail. Shipping rates are based on the cost of sending a 1kg parcel or, for two books, a 2kg parcel. Two rates are quoted. These are: for the UK, Royal Mail's first class post (for priority service) and second class post (for standard service); for the rest of the world, Royal Mail's international standard rate (for priority service) and international economy rate (for standard service).
Books are normally placed in a plastic sleeve, bubble-wrapped, and mailed in purpose-made book boxes, although I may sometimes use padded envelopes for small paperbacks.
The "international rate" applies only to continental Europe and Eire. If you live elsewhere postage costs for the priorty service will be higher (the standard service rate however applies to all oveerseas countries).
Book sizes are given in centimeters, to the nearest half centimeter, and refer to the text block, not the binding.
