A well-preserved copy of British Workman issue 298 from October 1879, including full-page cover engraving titled 'Jolly Joe the Carpenter'. Also is a half page engraving of William Mitchell's Coffee Stall at Eastbourne labelled The Church of England Temperance Society Street Stall No VI Some light edge wear, and small creases to corners, and a very light horizontal crease through the centre. Some further, marginal foxing and browning to corners and rear, and some small tears to edges. However, the cover print itself remains clear, bold, and very attractive, with no other notable surface wear, making this very suitable for mounting and framing.
