The publisher of "Home" , a monthly periodical, remains unidentified. Issues were sent to various building supply and lumber companies for them to distribute the magazine to their customers. The distributor of this copy was R. B. Ruby Lumber Company in Oneida New York. It was posted through the mail to a person in North Bay, NY, a village on Oneida Lake (Thomas Dixon). ******************************************** The magazine, which was printed in shades of blue and red, including blue -tinted photographs that were meant to resemble cyanotype prints. The magazine contains house designs with generic blueprint plans. There are also an assortment of articles about homes around the world ("Globe-Trotting tour of Homes"), small home projects, and a selection of home oddities, and other subjects. Since this was a July issue, there is an article about the Fourth of July. There are even movie reviews! It's a very interesting periodical, and, considering that it was issued as a promotional item, there is really very little about the individual companies that distributed the issues. Customers probably appreciated these, as they were amusing. Exterior has smudging and general modest surface rub. , and a touch of scuffing (mostly on the back) - else is clean and attractive. Binding is solid with staples holding fast.
