In her short, characteristically humorous note, Curie is refers to her 100th birthday celebrations in December of 2004. Eve Curie was the daughter of Madame Curie. The letter states in full: January 13, 2005 Dear Ed, It was so kind of you to send me the photos of my birthday party! Thank you. Now I have to get used to being so very old and organize my life accordingly. I know that I shall need your advice and your help! Many good wishes and much love to Chris and to you./Eve Written on white 10 ¼ x 7 ¼ stationery imprinted with the address: One Sutton Place South, New York, N.Y. 10022.   Ève  Curie Labouisse (1904-2007) was a trained concert pianist, writer and a war correspondent who traveled through Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. She published the biography of her mother, Marie Curie in 1937. Her war reports published as the Journey Among Warriors was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in Correspondence, 1944. She was an advisor to the first Secretary of NATO, Lionel Hastings. In July 2005, Ève Curie Labouisse was promoted for her work in UNICEF to the rank of 'Officier de la Legion d'Honneur' of the Republic of France the country's highest decoration.
