This is an Anthology of Poetry and Prose edited and with a marvelous introduction by Norman Weinstein while he was attending Bard College in the late 1960's and completed in June 1968. First Edition; unpublished scholarly manuscript. The heavy 322 mimeographed pages. Volume is divided into Two Parts: Part I:1900-1929 kreymborg/stein/bodenheim/carnevali carlos williams/oppenheim/seigal/ridind/brown/fletcher/crosby/mangan Part II: 19301948 larson/ford/wheelwright/nin/miller/lowenfels/rexroth/kees/funaroff/rukeyser tyler/lamantia Norman C. Weinstein is a published poet and critic whose books include Gertrude Stein and the Literature of the Modern Consciousness (Ungar) and Nigredo: Selected Poems 1970-1980 (Station Hill) A Night in Tunisia: Imaginings of Africa in Jazz, and six books of poems, the most recent No Wrong Notes. His jazz criticism has been published in The Village Voice, Jazziz, and Downbeat. He has won an ASCAP-Deems Taylor award for excellence in music criticism. One of what can only be a very few copies. 322 xeroxed pages with 5 pages of biographical notes and an Author Index. 322 pp. unpublished manuscript withdrawn from "Bardiana" in a very nice sharp clean blue library binding with gilt tiltes on the spine.
