Charles S. Keene (1823-1891) was a humorous artist and a caricaturist, who collaborated for many years with popular political edition Punch . In his short note to an unknown Mr. Twain, he mentions a bright example of Victorian satire Mrs. Caudle's Curtain Lectures by Douglas Jerrold (1803-1851). The book was first published in Punch, but lately, in 1873 it saw the world as a book with Keene s illustrations. 55 Baker St. Dear Twain Will you send me a copy of Mrs. Caudle lectures .
