Beschreibung
Very Good. Seven typed pages on 8.5- by 11-inch paper; four tiny punch holes at top edge An original seven-page typed manuscript, looking at the world and the human condition through the pessimistic eyes of a dog named "Fannie Lay." References to World War One. Signed by Weston (in pencil) using his last name at the end of the manuscript and then signed again (in pen) using his full name, adding the manuscript's title and his Hartford, Conn. address, dated Sept. 12, 1923 All pages uniformly folded. Weston was a children's author whose most famous work was "Plutarch's Lives For Boys And Girls," which is still in print and considered a classic. The Lives include six Greeks (Aristides, Themistocles, Pelopidas, Timoleon, Alexander, Philopoemen) and six Romans (Coriolanus, Tiberius Gracchus, Caius Gracchus, Caius Marius, Julius Caesar, and Brutus). This manuscript is believed to be unpublished. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 56226
