Three large Photographs of Policemen from Tottenham, London. Late 19th Century. Two are taken by Tutt and Co. of 234 Tottenham High Road, South Tottenham. One is taken by what I believe is Shewanda of Tottenham High Road. The photographs measure 21 .5 x 29 cms, 23.5 x 29 cms and 21.5 x 29.5 cms. The largest surround measures 35.5 x 45.5 cms. The surnames of all police officers present in one of the photographs, that by Shewanda, are written in pencil above the photograph. On another just four names are written in one corner. I cannot say at which location the photographs are taken but I expect someone with more knowledge of Tottenham or police history could do so. Two of the photographs are taken in the same yard. The other possibly in the same yard but from a different angle. Condition: Very Good. The images are clear and clean. The surrounds are darkened and foxed but still quite clean and not creased.
