This lot consists of three items related to the Holsman Automobile Company; circa 1908. 1) A 1908 Holsman Automobiles sales brochure. This is a four-page brochure, printed on pink paper. The first page describes the company and its' automobiles. The inner pages contain letters of recommendation from customers, touts the company success, and shows illustrations of the models available (Models No. 5, No. 9, No. 10, and No. 11). The last page is a montage of small photos of Holsmans in use. There is some chipping along the edges, and some soil in the margins of the front page, and in the lower left margin of the inner pages. 2) A two-page typed letter from the Holsman company to a potential customer in Wisconsin; on the letterhead of The Holsman Automobile Company. This letter is in reference to the sending of the above mentioned brochure. It touts the advantages and durability of both the Holsman automobile, and the company. The letter had been folded in sixths for mailing, but is quite clean. 3) A small (3" x 6") eight-page pamphlet issued by the Holsman company, entitled: "A Two Weeks' Tour in Colorado With a Holsman". In stapled wraps. The pamphlet describes the journey taken in a Model No. 11 Holsman. Documents the trouble-free performance of the Holsman despite the primitive, rough & hilly roads. There is no date listed, but circa 1908. There are 4 B&W photos in the pamphlet, showing the Holsman. The pamphlet is quite clean, with just a bit of age-toning, and the slightest bit of rubbing to the covers. The staples are a bit rusty. Scarce, unusual, hard-to-find items. ; 26A.
