Clean and square black cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering and almost no signs of wear. The pamphlets with their original self wrappers are all tanned with liberal foxing, tight, and smooth. There is one torn corner in the volume; on the last page of Representative Tristam Burges of Rhode Island's speech on the Secretary of the Treasury's Reasons for Removing the Public Money, delivered in 1834. Other speeches include Representative Burges's speech on the motion to amend the bill on Wool and Woolens in 1828, the speech by Representative James Jones of Virginia to postpone the Deposit with the States delivered in 1837, the speech by Representative of Thomas Walker Gilmer of Virginia on a bill relating to Duties and Drawbacks delivered in 1841, the speech by Senator Bedford Brown of North Carolina on the bill imposing additional Duties as Depositaries on Public Officers in 1838, and the speech by Representative Thomas Lyon Hamer of Ohio from the Committee on the Judiciary on the subject of The Public Printing delivered in 1835.
