Includes: Vol. I No. 1 of the school's Journal :Home Front Health" (Photo-illustrated bifolium, 10.75" by 8.25"); one embossed invitation to commencement exercises addressed to Ellen and her parents in original envelope (4.5" by 6.25"); 18 pp. booklet of school regulations in original printed wrappers (5.25" by 3.25"); Ellen's nurse registration card for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, 1944-1945 (3.5" by 6"); and her 1945 membership card to the American Nurses' Association. 2. Stapled booklet (9" by 6"), pp. 28 (incl. printed wrappers). Described as "A plan for secondary schools and schools of nursing to supply professional nurses urgently needed for wartime service" (title-page). 5. "Care is Important: How to Care for Hypodermic Syringes and Allied Products". Rutherford, N.J.: Becton, Dickinson and Company, 1949. Illustrated booklet with photos and diagrams measuring 11" by 8.5", pp. 24, stapled in original illustrated wrappers. A guide for professional nurses with information on syringe construction, how to care for them, recognizing breakage, techniques of injection, etc. Also includes information on supportive bandages, thermometers, determining blood pressure levels, and miscellaneous other nursing equipment.
