An Original Envelope Written by Charles Kingsley. Dated 1868. Charles Kingsley 1819-1875 was a broad church priest of the Church of England, a university professor, social reformer, historian, novelist and poet. He is particularly associated with Christian socialism, the working men's college, and forming labour cooperatives, which failed, but encouraged later working reforms. He was a friend and correspondent of Charles Darwin. Kingsley's concern for social reform is illustrated in his classic, The Water-Babies. Size of envelope is 120mm x 68mm. Condition is near good. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for.
