Eight-page folding brochure measures 4" x 9", unfolded, 8" x 9". With elegant color lithograph cover showing the SS Sightseer cruising in Elliott Bay. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Saddle-stapled. Although undated, reference to the Aurora Bridge (George Washington Memorial Bridge), built in 1929, suggests a mid-1930s publication date. Wear along folds, with staples slightly oxidized. Small chip the size of a nickel on the top fore-edge corner of the last page. Based in Leschi Park, the company operated the Mosquito Fleet ferries between Madison Park and Kirkland, Mercer Island ("East Seattle") and Medina, service that was prominent and vital prior to the construction of Lake Washington's floating bridges. Among vessels in their fleet were the SS Dawn and the SS Sightseer. The firm used the Canadian National Dock at the foot of Marion Street for their Elliott Bay port. Photos of waterfront mansions are of special interest. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 3457
