The postcard was mailed from Marblehead Mass. on August 23, 1909 at 7 A.M. to: Mr. Sislic Sallis / Main St / Groveland Mass The message: Dear Seslic I [?] you will / be going back to / scholl soon[.] tell / Percy to come down / [?soon] Sunday and / we go around and / see the place / N.B. It seems the writer's mother tongue was not English. The handwriting is atrocious. In 1910 Groveland had a population of 2253, so it's no wonder that the writer of the postcard did not bother with writing the house number on Main Street. Maybe there we no house numbers even.
