a collection of twenty menus from an Officer's Mess, each with a hand-coloured humorous sketch to top, surmounted by the feathers of the Welsh Regiment. Menus in part English, Welsh and French, most signed by a number of officers present with references to the Welsh Regiment. One which is written in hand rather than typed differs in its offering from the remainder (which all contain the same food) and is entitled 'In Honour of Lieut. B J Griffiths on his leaving'. Another makes reference to an officer of the Home Guard & is thus post 1940, three carry the stamp of the League of Welsh Youth to verso. Our guess is from the Officer Mess at Llanelly.
