Rare letter posted from the USS Bairoko by Charles T French LTJG addressed to Raymond Milling QMS1 USNR with the hand stamp YELLOW SEA, OFF KOREA -SIGN PRISONER EXCHANGE- Very rare and quite a mystery. Possibly unofficial but if this was the case why did the ships mail office not erase it for security? The date of 8 June 1953 ties in with the prisoner exchange. Possibly unique but I would not have thought that having gone to the trouble of producing a hand stamp only one letter was sent out or, was it manufactured by the ships mail office for stamping mail? Whatever never seen pone before. Post and packing will be less than quoted by abe but will have to go airmail signed for because of value. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 11910
