Includes a substantial chapter on vitalistic theories, including Bergson and Driesch. - Seba Eldridge (male) spent most of his career first at Columbia (Ph.D., 1925 under John Dewey, also studied with Franklin Giddings and William F. Ogburn), from 1921 at the University of Kansas. His interests were the contributions of sociology to questions of citizenship, community, and social reform.
