Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition collection of books including volume 3. ALSO includes volumes 7 and 8. All three books are in the same marbled half-leather binding. Heavy wear, scuffing and some darkening to the book edges, with chipping and loss to the corners and splitting to the spines. Volume 8 has a loose rear board. The textblocks throughout all 3 volumes remain well-bound aside from volume 3 which has a loose ffep. Some page sections protrude slightly but are not dog-eared. The pages themselves are decent, and while the edges are very darkened the main body of text shows less toning or marks than expected with good unfaded print.
